March 6, 1998 This kernel is similar to the DR3alpha4 kernel, except that "console feed" is turned on. Console feed redirects messages from Mach that would normally be spit onto the console up to the Linux server. The Linux server can then do what it wants with them -- hopefully putting them into your xconsole window if you're running X. Console feed was disabled a few wips ago because it appeared to be causing instability. This instability appears to be gone now. Try it out, see if it helps keep your X screen from becoming a mess. Again, this kernel comes courtesy of Jack Howarth. It is built with egcs, optimization -O6.
