My Amateur Radio Antennas:
I have currently following antennas available.
I have amended some basic information and pictures.
Stationary antennas
- ECO-Nova ECOMET HF8 covering 40m +
30m + 20m + 17m + 15m + 12m + 10m, but it works also
on 11m and 6m without tuner due to the suitable cable length.
Simple L-net tuner is able to tune it on 160m and 80m. It is placed on the
Antenna Holder No.2 at about 2m above the roof construction.
I have scanned original Italien documentation supplied with the antenna.
Here are page1
, page2 and
page3.
- ECO-Nova 2m 9el.Yagi in horizontal polarisation.
It is placed on the
Antenna Holder No.1 with antenna rotator mechanism at about
2m above the roof construction. It has about 13dBi.
Original Italien documentation has been scanned also, see
page1.
- Wi-Mo 70cm 18el.Yagi in horizontal polarisation.
It is placed on the
Antenna Holder No.1 with antenna rotator mechanism at about
2.5m above the roof construction. I has about 17dBi with 30deg of 3dB beamwidth.
I have scanned original German documentation supplied with the antenna. Here are
page1,
page2,
page3,
page4.
- CB balcony vertical 1/4 wave for 11m. It works from 80m
to 6m with antenna tuner. It is placed on the balcony
at 5th floor on the west side of the building.
Antenna Holder No.6 Distance between antenna and wall is 2.5m.
- I plan additional antenna for VHF/UHF operation.
Dual band vertical for 145/435MHz with some gain. It will be placed on the
Antenna Holder No.3.
Portable antennas
- Flexi-Helical 6m/2m/70cm. It is the antenna, which was
supplied together with FT-817 tranceiver.
- ATX-1080 covering all bands from
80m to 2m. It needs a wire counterpoise for each band. You can see the
Documentation
in PDF (Acrobat Reader is needed view it).
- Wire DP’s
- Fishing rod antenna - This vertical antenna is still under
construction and in testing. It is made from 7m long fishing rod. Tuning is done using a
coil, which is about 1.5m from bottom end. Theoreticaly it should work form
80m to 10m.
Mobile antennas
- Dual band vertical for 2m/70cm. It is a simple whip
antenna, which acts as 1/4 wave on 2m band and 3/4 wave on 70cm band.
It is almost indestructible and very robust construction. The main whip has
been made from a bicycle wheel wire.
- Small HF Whip for 27MHz (1.6m long). It is good enough to
listen HF from car. It is possible to use it from 21MHz to 30MHz with antenna
tuner.
- CB 1/4 wave whip It's 2.6m long fibre-glass whip with
cupreous wire inside. It works from 40m to 6m with antenna
tuner when mounted on the car. It needs to drive carefully, otherwise it could
damage the thin car roof.
